Unveiling of a Welsh National Monument to The Armenian Genocide - November 3rd at the Temple of Peace, Cardiff.

The unveiling and consecration of the Khatchkar (a Celtic Cross made with Welsh slate) will take place outside the Temple at 1.00 p.m. with HG Bishop Nathan Hovhannisian and supporting clergy and choir taking part There will be a reception to follow inside the Temple of Peace, with a buffet and Welsh and Armenian music.

MAYO would like to thank all those people who made Manchester's participation in the IVth Pan Armenian Games such a success. MAYO with the help of the proud Manchester community were able to send over 25 participants to this years games. MAYO would like to greatly thank, not just the participants, but also the supporters who came to cheer on the successful Manchester 5-a-side team and the other sportsman who participated.

The inaugural UK Armenian Youth Conference took place on Saturday, attended by 6 of the UK's Armenian Youth Organisations, and guest speakers including the Director of the Armenian Institute London, Dr Susan Pattie.

The conference, hosted by MAYO was a joint effort on the part of all the organisations and the firs of it's kind in the United Kingdom.

Discussions were wide and varied, and including heated debated on contentious issues such as the closure of the Melkonian school , and whether it will ever be possible for Armenian organisations to forget about politics and work together.

The conference was the first step in uniting the Diasporan Youth , and thus increasing their power and capacity to achieve great things.
